Hello Klasmeyts.. if you notice, our photo album is starting to grow. It is growing because we have a number of alumni who have joined the social networks in the web, i.e. facebook and friendsters. Dear Batchmates in Manila,

Thank you for spending some time to meet up during my stay in Manila. I had fun going to Trinoma w/Lyndon. It's a cool place. It was fun going around in BF and checking out our former teachers and sisters in Manresa School w/Cristy and Leah. I even brought my Manresa ID and old CAT t-shirt just in case they won't believe I studied there. He-he! Had fun too catching up with the latest happenings w/Allan, Jerome, Mitzi, Robert & Kay. It was great seeing you again guys! Now, I'm back here in Dubai to work. Thanks so much!

Thank you to Monay for supplying us this photo... This is how exactly I remember Diane back in High School...
I could also see the poor patches of grass, the unfinished wall of the building, the construction that may have been going on then.. truly, Manresa has come a long way now.

What's In a Name?

Hey guys,

I was just thinking (one of the few times I ever do), why don't we come up with a Nickname for our Batch?

You see, while sending text messages parang I get stop on my tracks when I txt MS 83 or Batch 83 or Manresa 83. While totoo naman na MS 83 tayo, parang I thought mas maganda kung may nickname ang batch natin.

So may I ask everyone to come up with a suggested nickname and we'll vote on it. You can send your suggestion/s to me and I'll collate them then send another email to everyone with all the choices.

On coming up with a nickname think of something approrpiate and relevant to the batch. Siempre something from 1979-1983 (our HS years). Pag sinabi mo kasing New Wavers, college na tayo niyan. Pag Punks naman, di lang naman tayo ang nag Punk sa Street Beat eh.

May mga naisip na nga ako eh and will include these as my suggestions:

The B-83s (diba parang B52s na sikat nung panahon natin. Naalala pa ba ninyo na habang tumutugtog ang Rock Lobster ay panay ang sayawan natin or pag narinig natin ang intro sa Planet Claire, napapaindak ka na?)

The Ispagetes (naalala ba ninyo nung nagsabi si Sr. Caridad kung ano dapat ang handa sa party? Sabi niya Ispagete, Macarone and Sopdrenks)

Boycotters (11 Feb 1983 will go down in history as the day we all crossed the bakod to go to Candy's house. We boycotted the Intrams Awarding)

You may find this baduy but I just want us to have a name for ourselves.

I hope I get at least 20 responses.

Suggestions will be open until the end of July. Pagkatapos noon, botohan na. Hopefully by 9 August 2008 (the 96th anniversary of Mo. Candida's death) meron na tayong nickname.
